How to Connect Your Sleeper League for Audio Fantasy Football Briefings

The NFL Fantasy Pass in Scoutcast.ai can now connect directly to your Sleeper league. Link it once, read-only, and every briefing knows your exact roster, who you’re playing this week, and how your league scores — without you screenshotting a lineup again. Sleeper is the only fantasy platform we connect to. Everything else still works by screenshot or paste, and that is not going away.

What connecting actually does

A connected Sleeper league gives your briefings three things they previously had to be handed manually:

• Your roster, current as of this morning — starters, bench, and every mid-week add. A Tuesday waiver claim is in Wednesday’s briefing without you doing anything.
• Your weekly head-to-head matchup — your opponent’s starting lineup, which is what makes the edge analysis specific instead of generic.
• Your league’s scoring settings — standard, half-PPR, or full-PPR, plus your roster slots. A start/sit call that ignores scoring format is a coin flip.

The connection is read-only, and that is a hard boundary rather than a promise. Scoutcast.ai can read your league; it cannot set your lineup, submit a waiver claim, propose a trade, or post in your league chat. There is no scenario where the app makes a move on your behalf, because it has no ability to write to your league at all.

How to connect your Sleeper league

1. Open the Fantasy tab in the Scoutcast.ai app with an active NFL Fantasy Pass.
2. Tap Connect Sleeper.
3. Enter your Sleeper username and tap Find my leagues. There is no password to hand over and nothing to authorize — Sleeper’s league data is public and read-only.
4. Pick the league. Scoutcast.ai finds your team in it automatically and tells you how many players it synced, along with this week’s opponent.

You can add up to three leagues total, mixed however you like — three connected Sleeper leagues, or one Sleeper league plus two you add by screenshot. The cap is on leagues, not on how they got in.

What changes in your briefings

The Fantasy Pass delivers four briefings a week, and each one gets sharper when the roster underneath it is live rather than a snapshot from whenever you last uploaded one:

The practical difference is the failure mode. With a screenshot, the briefing is only as current as the last time you remembered to send one — and the week you forget is usually the week you dropped someone. A connected league removes the step you can forget.

Sleeper connect or screenshot: which should you use

If your league is on Sleeper, connect it. If it is anywhere else, screenshot it. That is genuinely the whole decision, but here is the comparison in full:

What about ESPN, Yahoo, and NFL.com?

There is no connection to them, and we are not going to imply otherwise. ESPN has no supported public API, NFL.com’s developer API no longer exists, and CBS’s is effectively dead. Yahoo has a real one, and it is the most likely next integration, but it is not built yet.

So if your league lives on any of those, the screenshot path is the product, not a downgrade path — and it has one genuine advantage worth naming: it works for leagues no API can reach. Custom scoring, an office league run in a spreadsheet, a dynasty setup with house rules. You paste the lineup and the briefing works the same way.

Read-only, in plain terms

Connecting a league means Scoutcast.ai reads your roster, your matchup, and your league settings, and uses them to write your briefings. It does not read your Sleeper password, because it never asks for one. It does not touch your league chat, your trades, or your waiver claims. If you disconnect a league, the app stops reading it and the briefings fall back to whatever you add manually.
